Adaptive Skiing
The RIC Skiers are affiliated with Disabled Sports, USA. DS-USA is the
U.S. Olympic Committee's recognized DSO (disability sports organization)
for winter sports and represents a vast resource of expertise in winter
sports program development.
The types of ski equipment offered include: three track, four track, mono-ski,
bi-ski, and other devices, which provide opportunities for skiing. The
ski program is offered on weekends at Alpine Valley Ski Resort in East
Troy, Wisconsin and is made possible in part by a grant from the Chicago
Blackhawk Charities, a fund of the McCormick
Tribune Foundation.
